Most pilots who want an airline career become instructors, and instructing is the fastest legitimate way to build hours — you are paid to fly rather than paying to fly. It is also, by most accounts, the point at which you finally understand flying properly, because teaching something exposes every gap in your own knowledge.

What to Expect
A Multi-Engine Rating qualifies you for larger aircraft. Both the CFI and the multi-engine rating typically take 10–15 hours of flight training (coming soon).
